LAUGHTER IS A FUNNY THING.

Everyday for over 3 decades I have woke up with the intent to induce laughter. That's kinda funny in itself. My jobs have been...
                             ...making somebody laugh.
...writing something funny to make somebody laugh.
...helping another comic artist get laughs, etc. etc.
Everyday single day! So in keeping with that, here's a couple or eight things I'm finding to be consistent.

*Much of comedy is simply telling the truth and attempting to make sense....perhaps a new sense of sense.

*Comic need, at least one person that really gets you. Seek them out in your audience and your life. They will inspire you
to reveal the best of yourself. When you sense somebody gets ya you naturally begin to do all the little things that make up your voice.

*Relating through common truth is true relating. Stand up is relating and connecting.

*Helping an audience to let go and lose themselves in laughter... now THAT'S being an entertainer!

*You will never lose being over sensitive. The BASIS for great comedy is being over the top sensitive.

*Stand up comedy is blood kin to gossiping and ranting. It has to be created and performed with in the moment passion.

*An audience wants to laugh....they are seldom guilty of deliberately attempting to not laugh at your material.

*Laughter is a great attraction for more laughter.
