Get to the point. Make that point funny. Repeat.

Sound as if you're making a common point. Then twist that point to go where the audience would never expect.

Create your jokes rather than write them.

Never underestimate simplicity. It's the quickest way to understanding.

If you need for the audience to know something, tell them.

A good joke's setup should include tension. The release of the tension is in the form of your punch lines... that sometimes reveal a whole other story.

Standup comedy is related to gossiping.

Comics are 15 and 30 sec ad writers and the joke's punch line is the product they're selling.

Think visually. In pictures rather than words. Visual thinking is emotional. Comedy is emotional. Get it?
